What is an AI vending machine
An AI vending machine is the most advanced kind of smart vending machine. Instead of a keypad and spirals, it is a secured cooler with cameras and weight sensors. The customer taps to unlock, opens the door, takes one item or several, and closes it. AI vision identifies what was removed and bills the card automatically, around 99% accurate, with no scanning and no checkout line. People often use the terms smart vending machines and AI vending machines interchangeably; the difference is that AI machines add the camera-based grab-and-go experience on top of the connected, cashless smart platform.
How AI-vision grab-and-go works
- 1. Authorize. The customer taps a card or mobile wallet to unlock the door.
- 2. Open. The cooler door releases.
- 3. Grab. They take whatever they want, no selection codes, multiple items at once.
- 4. Close. The AI tallies what left the shelves and charges the card automatically.

Refurbished, new, and used: how we grade them
We refurbish smart and AI machines in our own service shop, not through a third party. Because these are camera-and-sensor machines, a refurbished unit gets the cameras and weight sensors recalibrated and the lock and software verified on top of the usual test, deep-clean, and inspection. We list machines in three conditions:
- New. Factory-fresh, with the longest warranty (roughly 1 to 2 years).
- Refurbished. Fully reconditioned in-house, warranty roughly 6 months to 1 year.
- Used. Tested and sold as a working machine, priced to move.
